What to do

  1. Visually examine the green insulator and center post of the electrical connector to make sure it is straight and in serviceable condition; replace the connector and retest if required.
  2. Reconnect the electrical connector to the shock absorber (actuator), clear the suspension DTC and confirm that the code does not reset.
  3. If the code returns, remove the electrical connector from the shock absorber (actuator) and pigtail, and swap it with the connector on the opposite side shock absorber (actuator).
  4. If the DTC follows the connector to the other side, replace the connector; if not, refer to SI and follow the diagnostics for the DTC originally found.
