Candidate cause (the documents say what to do)

Rear door upper hinge welds out of specification (FMVSS 214) - recall 03V-037

The rear door upper hinge has four welds, and on some vehicles one or two may not be to specification.

What to do

  1. Dealers inspect the welds on the left rear door upper hinge.
  2. If a weld is out of specification, a bolt is installed to secure the hinge.
