While performing a front end alignment, the upper control arm bracket alignment pin may be found missing.
The pin serves as a pilot for the alignment cam when adjusting the front caster and camber.
What to do
- If the pin is missing, a 1/4 inch dowel rod or a punch can be used as a temporary alignment aid to center the cam to the bracket while making adjustments and torqueing the control arm nuts.
